Can I Keep My Cox Email Address if I Cancel Service

Here are instructions for setting up Gmail to collect mail from your mailbox at cox.net (alter).
This manner all your letters will arrive to your Gmail mailbox, conveniently listed in one central place.

  1. Go to your Gmail business relationship and log in with your email and password if asked to.

    Important: select the option to "Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server".

  7. Enter popular.cox.cyberspace in the "Popular Server" field.

  8. Select 995 in the "Port" dropdown list.

  9. Check the "Always use a secure connection (SSL)" checkbox.

  10. Click the "Add Business relationship" push button.
    Now click the "No" option on the next screen and finally, click the "Finish" button.
